This answer is for both physical and mental health. For physical health, it is common for us to take over the counter medicine, rest, and take care of ourselves when we don’t feel well. When you’ve done everything that you know to do, and don’t feel better or get worse, go see a medical doctor! It should be the same for mental health!! It’s completely natural to feel down sometimes. After all, we are human, not robots. So if you are down, or anxious, or not feeling mentally well, treat it like you do when you feel physically sick. Do what usually works for you, over the counter medicine, meditation prayer, music therapy, lamenting to friends, rest, take care of your body. Then, if you’ve done everything that you know to do, and don’t feel better or get worse, seek help. You are your best advocate. Take care of yourself!
