Age Is Just A Number

It’s that time of year again, another birthday for me. I turned 51 this week. Firmly in middle age. My husband jokes all the time about his warranty running out and things breaking down. I refuse to claim that! I have to say that we are only as old as we let ourselves feel. I have met 30 year olds who are already “old” and I’ve met 80 year olds who are “young”. I am in the best shape of my life. I am more active than I ever was in my youth. I have security which brings a freedom to explore new things. I often dress like a toddler with loud leggings and a flower in my hair. I (fairly) keep up with new music, movies, etc. Age doesn’t have to define us! We should be striving to be our best selves, physically, mentally, spiritually, etc., at every age. Strive to be the best version of yourself and don’t worry what your birth certificate says!
